Now that Daniel Skuta is retired from the NFL, he has more time
than ever to pursue his personal interests. On any given day, the former
Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker can be found fishing, hunting, riding his ATV
or even honing his photography skills – activities he now gets to enjoy with
more energy and focus than ever before.
But one of Dan Skuta’s favorite things to do is spend time with
his Pitbull, Kaiya – a happy, healthy canine that brings laughter and love to
Skuta’s life every day.
Raising a happy dog, as Skuta knows, isn’t necessarily
difficult—though it does take a strong level of commitment.
While every dog has
different needs, most young dogs require about:
- 30 minutes of physical exercise daily.
- Two feedings a day (with care taken to avoid
overfeeding).
- Between 15-30 minutes of training or obedience every day – activities that can keep the dog occupied while exercising their brain.
